Many times it’s convenient to route sewer lines through parks as construction is quick and inexpensive. Plus there are no houses. When the sewer lines are installed; manholes are created and H2S released. National and State Parks often have multiple overnight camping areas and these sometimes are connected to a central sewage treatment system by pipeline.
